In the Green Tech scenario rapid growth in renewable energy technolgies continues but the equally rapid expansion of biofuels from agricultural crops is curtailed as government policies shift from concern about fuel supply security to food supply security. Broadacre agriculture continues to provide most non perishable food but high fertiliser and chemical cost accelerate the change to carbon building organic methods.
